The cinematic stories which I have worked on are usually, at their core, (family) (romantic) dramas set against a backdrop of difficult personal and historical past (e.g. Communist reality before the 1989 change in Poland in Fear of Falling, or World War II and the Cold War in Cold War). Relationships between children and their parents are essential for these projects (both Fear of Falling and Cold War are dedicated to their directors’ parents, while some of my most recent projects revolve around the theme of motherhood). However, I have also worked on screenplays in other genres, including historical drama, drama/comedy and comedy.
