I completed my MA (1996) and PhD (2002) at the University of Warsaw and lectured there for a few years, before moving to SWPS University in 2003, where I taught courses in (among others) theory of culture, film narration, American film genres, auteur cinema and history of cinema. At that same university I also founded SWPS Film Lab, an experimental consulting programme organized in co-operation with Munk Studio.

As a screenwriter I took part in programmes for feature film professionals, including Workshop and EKRAN programmes in Wajda School, workshops at Script Factory, Torino Lab consultations, or ScripTeast. I debuted alongside Bartek Konopka, first with a short feature, Three for the Taking (2006) and then with a feature-length debut, Fear of Falling (2011). In the following years I continued to support directorial debuts in Munk Studio, while collaborating with Krzysztof Krauze and Joanna Kos-Krauze on their film project, and then with Paweł Pawlikowski on several of his projects, including Cold War (2018).
